I thought this was going to be much easier. I have a Filemaker Pro 11 database file. I need to convert it to Access for a small non-profit whose board members have changed, and the previous simply left the data files. They need to get a mailing out. I've looked at a couple of applications that purport to convert Filemaker (and other databases) to Access (or other databases), but I can't simply open the file (I went so far as to download their demo versions). I have to be running Filemaker Pro and access it through a shared odbc connection. This was true of two I looked at. But, if I had Filemaker Pro, it seems I could simply export the table to a tab or comma delimited text file and be done with it. I've tried looking at the file with TextWrangler, but no, it's a proprietary binary format. Does anyone know of a solution other than buying Filemaker Pro? Or, would someone be willing to open the file and export the data?
