[Hidden-tech] Text message app that does unread message count

You should know that the notification icon is a launcher-dependent 
feature. Stock android doesn't support the little red counter like iOS, 
though Samsung's TouchWiz launcher does. A given app will also need to 
support those 3rd party features in order for notifications to be 
visible. For example, Facebook and Skype support them on my Galaxy S6.

On my phone, Samsung's stock SMS app will do this, though Google's new 
Messaging app (their newest suggested replacement SMS app) doesn't seem to.

Do you know if that's a feature of your phone's launcher?
