It's been over 10 years since I worked in the library and was the sysadmin for the ezproxy server. Back then the support was nothing short of amazing. Since then, it has been acquired by OCLC. It would be hard to match the support of old, but OCLC should also be pretty good. Although you are not explicitly an ezproxy customer, you are a vendor that ezproxy customers work with, and supporting you would be a shortcut to supporting a number of their customers.
