FTL Labs Corporation is currently working with UMass to develop next-generation technology products to solve problems for government and industrial clients. This is work that requires broad engineering skills and innovative thinking in a team setting. Additional skills that would be advantageous include: • Understanding and interest in multidisciplinary science including physics, chemistry, and life sciences • Electromechanical system design, assembly, and testing • Lead a team of engineers in R&D projects • Custom PCB board development • Laser and optical system design • Mechanical design using CAD (SolidWorks) • Mechanical fabrication including CNC, mill, lathe, drill press, etc. • System prototyping and testing • Laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and microscopes • Self-motivated and goal oriented • Fun and easy to work with in a dynamic team Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience.
