[Hidden-tech] LiquidWeb sold to bottom feeders - time to switch hosts, any recommendations?

I am currently using Hostgator. I rate them a B-. They raised their prices
last year which I didn't like too much, but I really didn't like it when
they upped the charge for a dedicated IP from $2 a month to $4 a month (I
needed it for a SSL certificate). Pure gouging. They said it was due to
supply and demand.

I'm trying to decide if I want to rehost since it's a hassle. If I do I'll
probably go with SiteGround.

If quality is more important than price, I think MediaTemple is the way to
go. Fortunately, I don't need quite the level of quality they provide.
