FTL Labs Corporation is a growing small business located near downtown
Amherst, Massachusetts.

We are looking for someone capable of working and leading research tasks
that span mechanical fabrication, electronics, firmware, and software. A
job description is below:


​Technology Products R&D Scientist (Full Time)

FTL Labs Corporation is currently working with UMass to develop
next-generation technology products to solve problems for government and
industrial clients.  This is work that requires broad engineering skills
and innovative thinking in a team setting.  Additional skills that would be
advantageous include:


   -

   Understanding and interest in multidisciplinary science including
   physics, chemistry, and life sciences
   -

   Electromechanical system design, assembly, and testing
   -

   Lead a team of engineers in R&D projects
   -

   Custom PCB board development
   -

   Laser and optical system design
   -

   Mechanical design using CAD (SolidWorks)
   -

   Mechanical fabrication including CNC, mill, lathe, drill press, etc.
   -

   System prototyping and testing
   -

   Laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and
   microscopes
   -

   Self-motivated and goal oriented
   -

   Fun and easy to work with in a dynamic team


Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a minimum of  2-4 years of
experience. FTL Labs Corporation is a growing small business located in
Amherst, Massachusetts. Our business’ primary focus is on solving
