Sven, I have not done the research as recently as I would like. But for a while now the Dell Ultrasharp (for 4k the Ultra HD) monitors benchmark/test equal or better to the apple direct monitors. Some of the nicest displays I have worked with, and somewhat reasonably priced. I would check out the P2715Q Dell says the MSRP is $699, but typically you can find it for closer to $599 or less.
