[Hidden-tech] Can someone recommend a house/estate clean out person?

Hi all,

Just an update: As some have so accurately suggested, older wooden
furniture is getting very low prices these days. The two lovely tables
I had at auction got $80 and $90. The good thing is I was able to meet
each buyer (end user) and give them some more history on the pieces
and they were pleased to have that.

To answer Rob's question, I am not aware of any eBay stores that are
operating under the eBay name. I worked briefly at one in Westfield,
but it was like an assembly line, and although they seemed ethical
enough and overall a good business, I found it to be highly
impersonal. People would bring in their item(s), it got catalogued,
put onto the catalogued shelving system, photographed, and posted at a
starting bid of 99¢, no matter how high the value may be. There was no
real interest or excitement over the value of anything .It was just
very automated. I suppose it had to be.

There was a shop in Eastworks, next to the Registry of Motor Vehicles,
that sold items on eBay for folks, and also had items for sale in the
store. They have closed. Not sure what happened. But as some have
suggested, they probably just couldn't afford to stay in business.

If folks find someone good and ethical to help you sell your item(s)
on eBay, I would like to know about them.
