[Hidden-tech] Lost emails on Comcast

Some more details are needed in order for the situation to be understood.

When you login to comcast webmail, are the messages in the trash folder perhaps? Or in some other subfolder?

What email app does your friend use to access comcast email? Just webmail? A computer? What email program? A smartphone? What kind?

Does he know if he was/is configured for IMAP or POP connection to the server?

Does he have any backups of his computer?
