I tend to agree with John on this. There are many good time tracking apps out there that are free to very inexpensive and do a great job. I use Harvest for my time tracking and invoicing, and have had very good luck with it. https://www.getharvest.com/ It also offers integration with Google Apps (though I have not yet used this functionality).
