Happy Memorial Day!

If you generously gave your service to the community in one of our 
earlier Hackathons, please register for this year’s model!  It happens 
in two weeks (June 6 & 7) in Springfield.  Previous hackers: log in, 
edit your account, and click the Sat/Sun checkboxes to show you’re coming.

If this will be your first Hackathon, welcome!   Visit 
http://hackforwesternmass.org, read and register this weekend.  We will 
decide on Monday whether or not to offer child care based on demand.

We have 12 draft Challenge Descriptions up for browsing. Teams for each 
challenge are selected on Saturday morning, but you may wish to 
pre-select and do a little research to get things started. There are 
also Scratch and Minecraft workshops for tweens and teens, plus a Youth 
Hackathon challenge.

A lot has happened since the Holyoke Hackathon.  We have so much to 
learn from each other!   The new venue, the UMass Center in Tower 
Square, is a state-of-the-art facility, with beautiful panoramic views, 
great spaces and furniture, and free indoor parking to participants.
