If there are incorrect listings on other sites, fix those. Just because you
created a new site for him, that's not going to automatically be ranked
above bad listings with incorrect address, etc. In fact, what you've done
is create additional confusion.

Google's algorithm is sitting there sifting through the new site data - and
comparing/contrasting that info with the old, bad listings that you
mentioned. And, right now, Google's algo is confused.

So, if there are bad listings, hunt down contact info or whatever you need
to do, to fix those listings.

And, make sure that you have free local listings - with all the correct
info at:

Google+
Yahoo
Bing
YP
Yelp

The advantage to updating or creating all those listings yourself, is that
most of those listings will gladly link to the new website you created. And
all of those are free.
