I don't remember if you received useful responses, or not, Christine. For some reason I didn't see your posting until now, so I thought I'd respond... One thing you could do is look at the spam settings in your web hosting interface. Many web hosts have spam filter adjustments, that you can increase/decrease to customize the percentage of junk/real mail you get. Many web hosts use spam assassin which has a default setting of 5. I would suggest lowering it to 3 (which counterintuitively is more aggressive). If you find that's not effective enough, you could talk to your web host about a premium anti-spam solution (that you would have to pay them an additional fee for).
