Unfortunately he's already done what you shouldn't do in this situation which is power up the device. But it still may be savable. One thing to try is put it in some rice. Rice is good at absorbing water. If there are things (like a battery cover) that you can open up to allow more air circulation to the inside without allowing rice to get into bad places do that before putting the phone in rice. - Bruce -----Original Message----- From: hidden-discuss-bounces at lists.hidden-tech.net [mailto:hidden-discuss-bounces at lists.hidden-tech.net] On Behalf Of Deborah Chandler Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2015 7:50 PM To: Hidden-Tech Tech Subject: [Hidden-tech] Reviving a smartphone dropped in snowbank Hi all, A friend dropped his smartphone in a snow bank this morning and after it worked for a short while, it powered off and won't work now. I have not had this happen, and I will be Googling for answers, but meanwhile, I know some of you probably have a solution to offer. I know his carrier is Metro PCS and I am fairly certain the phone is one of the Samsung Galaxy series. He has had to work all day, so has not had a chance to go to the Metro PCs store to inquire. Thanks :) Deb _______________________________________________ Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list.
