There are a number of WordPress E-Commerce plugins. I use Misiek Paypal to
generate PayPal buttons with my site (the Misiek Paypal allows for a IPN
callback that can be used to update the page to mark the item as sold). If you
use PayPal (recomended), PayPal not only handles the payment transaction
(credit card, E-Check, or PayPal balance), but will also collect shipping
information and even can be set up to generate a shipping label and pay for
the postage and send an E-Mail to the buyer with the tracking info.
