No experience with the shingles. I went with a standard panel system from Solarcity and couldn't be happier. Total system size is 9.1kw and the full cost was .06/kwh paid upfront for 20 years. No other costs or fees. They own all maintenance, including inverter replacements. Their monitoring system is very nice. It includes a simple phone app and web access. I also opted for monitoring all of the power usage in the house and have found it extremely useful in lowering my overall consumption as I can clearly see when something is sending my usage well above the baseline. I'd be happy to share my experience with anyone who's interested hearing more. -John On Tue, Feb 17, 2015 at 1:18 PM, Andy Klapper <AndyTK at charter.net> wrote: > > > > > > > My roof is 21 years old and is due for a shingle replacement.
