[Hidden-tech] Obtaining a record of a marriage

We recently got married (in Las Vegas) and got a number of letters from services offering to send us our marriage record.   I looked on LV Marriage Bureau site, which sent m to the the Clark County website and got our marriage certificate for like $16. I'm sure whichever town in Mass where the marriage took place can help you get a certified copy, either from them or from the county.  Contact the town clerk's office--they usually know everything. 
Since one never really knows who the third parties are, or what they'll do once you respond to them,  I'd stay away from them.

Vital records are a town function, and the local town clerk where the
wedding was recorded typically won't charge a lot for copies.  If you don't
know the town, I suspect if you need a certified document the state site is
better than trying to figure out if some other site is legit.

Does someone know how to obtain a record of a marriage in the state of
Massachusetts that is faster and less expensive than going through the
Registry of Vital Records and Statistics in Boston? They are wanting to
charge $50. for a single copy if ordered from afar, and $20 if obtained at
their office in Boston, per the website below.

 There are many other websites that charge money for these types of records,
but could someone confirm if any of them are legit?

Also, I don't know the city/town or the exact date of the marriage, so I am
not able to go to the town/city hall for this record.
