We recently got married (in Las Vegas) and got a number of letters from services offering to send us our marriage record. I looked on LV Marriage Bureau site, which sent m to the the Clark County website and got our marriage certificate for like $16. I'm sure whichever town in Mass where the marriage took place can help you get a certified copy, either from them or from the county. Contact the town clerk's office--they usually know everything. Since one never really knows who the third parties are, or what they'll do once you respond to them, I'd stay away from them. If you don't know the town, I suspect if you need a certified document the state site is better than trying to figure out if some other site is legit. They are wanting to charge $50. for a single copy if ordered from afar, and $20 if obtained at their office in Boston, per the website below. http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/gov/departments/dph/programs/admin/dmoa/vitals/obt aining-certified-copies-of-vital-records.html#byinternet There are many other websites that charge money for these types of records, but could someone confirm if any of them are legit? Also, I don't know the city/town or the exact date of the marriage, so I am not able to go to the town/city hall for this record. Thanks for any solid guidance you can provide, Deb _______________________________________________ Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list.
