Hi Hidden Techers,

Does someone know how to obtain a record of a marriage in the state of
Massachusetts that is faster and less expensive than going through the
Registry of Vital Records and Statistics in Boston? They are wanting
to charge $50. for a single copy if ordered from afar, and $20 if
obtained at their office in Boston, per the website below.

http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/gov/departments/dph/programs/admin/dmoa/vitals/obtaining-certified-copies-of-vital-records.html#byinternet

There are many other websites that charge money for these types of
records, but could someone confirm if any of them are legit?

Also, I don't know the city/town or the exact date of the marriage, so
I am not able to go to the town/city hall for this record.

Thanks for any solid guidance you can provide,
Deb
