Rich, Malwarebytes, the makers of one of the top antispyware programs on the market just purchased a company that made a fantastic free removal tool for mac. They have expanded it a little and made Malwarebytes antimalware for mac. Take a look: https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/mac/ - that does basic removal. If you want ongoing protection, both Avast and AVG offer good free antivirus programs for mac that find some spyware junk: http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-antivirus-for-mac or https://www.avast.com/en-us/free-mac-security If that doesn't work, or is frustrating, you are always welcome to drop it off with the experts ;-).
