I expect *some* lawyers and accountants volunteer their services, but probably 
only if said lawyers and accountants have a vested (?) interest in the 
nonprofits.  Eg the lawyer or accountant is a member of the organization or is 
providing a sponsership *in kind* to the organization or something like that. 
Or providing services pro bono because they believe in the 'cause'.

I *guess* the same sometimes happens with other professional services.  (For 
example Deepwoods Software provides web hosting for the Wendell Full Moon 
Coffeehouse as a sponsership in kind.)
