The Literacy Project is currently seeking a temporary IT Technician to work for us on a consultant basis.  This position involves project-based work for 15 to 20 hours a week for approximately six months, although there is also flexibility to increase weekly hours for a shorter duration. The rate is $25/hr.

 

Desired qualifications for this position include:

 

·         Strong wireless networking expertise including:

o   Configuring wireless routers for classrooms

o   Troubleshooting connection issues

o   Working in peer-to-peer network environment with file servers

·         Knowledge of backup software and setup

·         Ability to concentrate in busy environments

·         Ability to document work & equipment configurations 

 

Applicants must have their own vehicle.  The position is based in Greenfield, but also includes travel to service other locations in Amherst, Northampton, Orange and Ware.
