[Hidden-tech] Odd image transmission issue

I agree with Rita about compression. I zip just about everything I send (images in any format, layouts, and sometimes even pdf's) because it protects them against going corrupt, which saves me a lot of time figuring out what happened. Jpegs are compressed, in terms of how they store their information, but I don't think it's the kind of compression that protects it from going corrupt. (I say that based on experience, not on an extensive or detailed understanding of the technology.)
I will say that, usually, when something goes corrupt in transmission it has to do with a blip in the line and it won't happen again when it gets re-sent. So there might be some obscure preference in your system or your client's that creates an on-going incompatibility issue. But if zipping the file works you won't have to dig any further.

They look right on their end, but when I receive them, they are way funky. No settings have changed on my end. Just so odd to me. Any ideas?
