Thank you! //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /////////////////////////// Technical Support Specialist Elms College is seeking a Technical Support Specialist, responsible for new hardware installation, maintenance, and operational support of computer labs, classrooms, and offices on campus. Provide technical support for faculty, staff and students on all aspects of technology used in a networked environment. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES . Performs routine installation and maintenance of PCs, software and printers. . Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues. . Responds to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically; performs initial problem analysis, advises user on appropriate action and escalates problems to Information Technology technical staff when necessary. . Manages PC inventory, recommends hardware and software acquisitions. . Coordinates the work of student lab monitors to provide effective support to students using the academic computing labs. . Follows standard Help Desk procedures, tracks and routes problems and requests, logs all Help Desk interactions, documents resolutions. . Coordinates repairs and services with outside vendors, ensures that services are properly completed. . Develops and conducts training programs for faculty, staff, and students, on various personal computer software applications. QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in related field or equivalent technical training. Minimum two (2) years' experience in computer operations, network communication systems, and familiarity with a variety of hardware and software applications. Experience in Higher Education preferred.
