[Hidden-tech] tablet - smart TV sports channel question

Hi HT,

Santa is hinting about a new TV.  Our elves at home would LOVE live 
sports access.  In lieu of the minimum package through cable / satellite 
providers that includes ESPN, I have a question:

The NBA offers their live access for a tablet for $50/year.

Is it possible to hook up the tablet to the TV as an AUX IN and watch it 
that way with reasonable picture quality?
