I often run more than one browser, and performance here in Hadley at the very end of the cable line is pathetic whether I'm running one browser or three. I have a few different reasons for multiple browsers: For a while, Facebook wouldn't run on Firefox while youtube wouldn't run on the now-defunct RockMelt. Switching from RockMelt to Chrome gave me one browser that could do both, but I still find that some sites don't work on one or the other. Also, I'm in the habit of passing through the servers to dump the spam before I bring in my email via Eudora (I have much more functionality in Eudora than I do with any web client I've ever tried). The control panel only allows me to have one mailbox open per browser. I have several addresses. Because of the slow performance, it's not uncommon for me to open one account in Firefox and one in Chrome, so that as a page crawls in of an e-mail I want to scan on the server, I can flip over and deal with e-mail from another account in the other browser. If my wife is downstairs and her computer is upstairs, and she needs to check something quickly, she'll open Safari so I don't have to re-login as myself afterward--when she's been on facebook or GMail. Not familiar with Yammer. What does it do?
