I also use Asana and like it very much. I don't have a complicated operation with many people but Asana looks like it would work well for that too. I tried Basecamp briefly until my very tech savvy virtual assistant introduced me to Asana. We use it to manage my office needs and her services. We easily track and update progress.  I also introduced it to my web design and tech team to organize our communications. Emails were being missed and I was forgetting what they'd addressed and what they hadn't. Asana served as a brain extension for me.
