[Hidden-tech] finance program for Mac?

While, admittedly, it was several years and several operating systems 
ago, we did have an experience of Quicken/Mac eating an entire year's 
worth of checkbook registers--unrecoverably--and having to do them again 
in an Excel spreadsheet under time pressure before our tax appointment.

We use the paper register for basic checkbook management, and Excel to 
keep track of the tax implications. It'll be a snowy day in July before 
I trust my data to Quicken again.
