*Position Summary:* Develop and maintain static and dynamic web pages and database-driven applications to support the recruiting and enrollment efforts of the admission office. Research recruitment trends in higher education and monitor emerging technologies for opportunities to maximize constituent engagement and increase efficiency and value of Web and systems processes. * * *Duties and Responsibilities:* Design, build, and maintain dynamic Web pages and Web-based, database-driven applications for prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and alumnae admission volunteers. Design, build, and code dynamic forms and databases for external constituents and alumnae admission volunteers. Maintain and modify existing Web-based, database driven applications that allow students to apply for admission to Smith and on-campus events. Design, build, and code Web-based, database-driven applications and systems to support, enhance, and automate admission staff functions. Design and maintain admission Web pages to support on-campus events and programs. Develop and maintain systems to process dynamic forms and manage back-end databases. Provide training and technical support to admission staff responsible for maintaining databases. Create content and manage relationships with vendors and Web partners. Systems programming of Nolij Transfer to facilitate duplicate record prevention and upload of electronic data to the college’s Banner/Oracle database system. Create and produce content for new media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and video content for YouTube and the admission pages. Collaborate with admission marketing team and admission staff, College Relations, Information Technology Services, Student Financial Services, and other departments as needed in order to achieve project goals. Supervise Social Media Intern. Back up other staff needs as necessary. Perform related duties as required. *Qualifications: *Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of three years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills: Must be able to utilize various web programming languages/tools like PHP, SQL, SQR, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and be familiar with HTTP, SSL, and database queries. Experience working with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and Microsoft Access. Ability to install, maintain and modify open-source web applications and utilize API’s. Experience with graphic design and video production tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Fireworks and Final Cut Pro. Must understand and be able to implement web security measures, encryption and decryption, data input filtering and validation. Must have strong customer service, communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Mac, Windows and mobile platforms. Experience with Drupal is preferred. * * *Additional Information:* This is a full-time, benefited, 6-month limited-term position.
