Is there a data service plan that works well everywhere, especially in tri-state/metro-NYC, for less than $50/mo ? AT&T is trying to charge me $50/mo (5GB plan) and I can't include my data usage from my smartphone in that 5GB of data. For my 4-6 hours per week I'll be using this netbook it seems too expensive. But yes, I'd vastly prefer to be untethered. Thanks. However, when needed, it works. Suggestion would be to get to wifi as much as possible.
