[Hidden-tech] certificate of insurance question

Hi Tom,

Depends on what their requirements are for that insurance. You can ask them - if they are a government contractor you may not be able to duck it. I've been asked for this and gone back to find out exactly what and how that requirement came to be. Sometimes it evaporates. On the other hand, I have a colleague who is working for DoD through Deloit and had to take out a $450 annual policy.

Ask - it may be a knee jerk HR contracting requirement meant for heavy equipment operators or it may be the cost of doing business.

Good Luck.

However, I will need a copy of your Certificate of Insurance showing General Liability and Workers' Compensation coverage. Can you have your insurance agency forward to me? Also, we will be sending you a Certification Letter that you will need to sign and mail back."
