*We're hiring! *Common Media is currently in need of another website
developer: we're a web development and consulting shop, currently about
half Ruby on Rails and half Drupal, with a healthy mix of new and ongoing
projects. We're located right downtown in Greenfield, in newly renovated
post-industrial space.

*XHTML, CSS, and LAMP development experience is necessary.* Drupal, Ruby,
Rails, and/or advanced jQuery-fu are definite pluses. We're looking for
someone excited about modern web development, and the exact details of your
résumé are less important than if you are "smart and get things done."

*Primary responsibilities will include:*
* Updates, new features and maintenance for existing web applications
* New development to client specifications
* Documentation of issues and solutions

*Necessary skills and attributes:*
* Ability to write consistent, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS
* Ability to consider edge cases and thoroughly test your own code
* Ability to pick up a task, ask questions of the previous developer, and
then solve most problems independently
* Ability (and eagerness) to learn new skills on the job
* Comfort working on the command line, especially in Mac and Ubuntu
environments
* Attention to detail and production schedules
