Hmm... the key words are "really simple". I was going to mention Magento, but it's anything but simple. I'm developing my own CMS which might fit the bill - it's designed for musicians and artists. Any interest in being a guinea pig? :-) Other than that, there's always WordPress. As long as you're not handling credit cards, I suppose a shopping-cart / e-commerce WP plugin would be okay. Look for one with a simple admin UI that won't drive your client insane.
