[Hidden-tech] Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

I've used the Creative Cloud for about five months and love it. I have a
credit card on file with Adobe and they check once a month to make sure
I'm still using the software and then charge my credit card.

As for Cloud based... yes and no. The software is available from the
Cloud, and you download what you want to your desktop. I actually prefer
this, because that means I can work even when I don't have Internet
access (like in the wilds of Maine).

I don't know of a buyout/lockin feature with this. But for people like
me, who were several iterations behind in the Creative Suite, it's a
great deal. And I can try out software that I most likely would never
buy (like Premiere).
