[Hidden-tech] Sofware Reseller Experience?

I'm considering a deal to be the local rep for a foreign software company.

Hoping to find someone out there with experience in the kinds of contracts
and compensation plans usually used for this type arrangement- so I can avoid
the well-known pitfalls ;-)

Anyone who might let me pick their brain over lunch, or maybe a small consulting gig?
