[Hidden-tech] tween-ager gmail drama

hello all,

 the tweenager drama has begun. A few months ago, I set up a gmail account
with/for my 11 yr old daughter but had to fib a bit about her age... and we
signed up and her account has been functioning fine, etc...

Well, today my daughter was at the library and tried to sign on to gmail
there...a page came up asking her to confirm her age and she typed in her
actual d.o.b and then a page came up notifiing her that her email account
would be deactivated in 29 days if she couldn't prove her actual age. ... OR
I could verify it by giving a credit card number to pay 30 cents?? weird,
yes i know...

Needless to say, this has created quite a the drama scene & is an urgent
matter to be resolved immediately, waaaa, waaa, waaa..."daddy, i loved my
gmail account, etc, etc"

anyway, I'd love top hear if this has happened to any other parents out
there that may have the same same drama going on in their house...and the
best way top reactivate her account.

I know, I know this is just the beginning...
