[Hidden-tech] Network question

HI Daniel

Cat 5 is 4 twisted pairs.
You should test to see if there are any short among the 8 wires. That would
slow things down as you describe.
If they are custom made wires it could be a bad end or a small break at a
sharp bend if care wasn't taken.

A network cable tester is 20 or 30 bucks. If you want to borrow mine just
come and get it!
