As long as you have the CD Key and the disc you get is post SP2 you can 
use whichever XP Pro CD you can get your mitts on. I have done that in 
the past a lot myself. The only thing you have to watch out for, if it's 
a Dell, you have to have a "Dell" Version of the Operating System. I 
have a disc I could make a copy of, but it is pre-SP2....just ask around 
for a SP2 or SP3 copy of XP Pro, and you can use the CD Key on the 
bottom of the laptop to install it.
