[Hidden-tech] VHS- repair

I just found an ancient VHS tape of an interview with a departed great uncle. I put it in a VCR, and it sanpped upon rewind. I am looking for someone who can fetch the beginning and replicate the contents on a CD. I am sure this was old hat 10 years ago at any video store. 
Does anyone know anyone in the Greenfield area who can do this?
