Just as an FYI, if you have a cell phone provider you like, but have a specific location such as a home or office that gets poor reception you can easily improved reception by purchasing a ³network extender² from the carrier. The ³network extender² is essentially a mini-cell tower that plugs into a DSL or cable internet connection (via ethernet). Within an approximate 40 foot radius of the device you will get a solid cell signal. The Verizon one will support up to six calls at once. The ³list² cost on the Verizon website is $249, but all you have to do is ask and they will give you 40% off, or $150. The are no additional monthly charges. AT&T offers a similar device and I¹m assuming that other carriers do as well. http://www.verizonwireless.com/verizon-network-extender.shtml http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/devices/3gmicrocell.jsp?fbid=AUphUX8gXQe Anecdotally, you should NOT purchase one of these devices from anywhere except the carrier. Apparently some of the ones sold on Amazon and eBay have limitations and the small amount of savings are not worth the hassle. -- William M.
