[Hidden-tech] Verizon urban myths

During our recent power outage I was tethering my Android phone to my laptop
for internet access (yea EasyTether!) and I would lose the internet whenever
anybody called me.  I could not tell you however if this was an issue with
Verizon or EasyTether.

areas (West County hill towns for instance).  The other nice advantage is

means I can see what new email have come in etc. even if I am talking on the
phone on a headset for instance.  This is not possible on Verizon with

This is an interesting myth that gets repeated by ATT in their ads so often
people start to believe it...

I have a Verizon Droid and regularly use the data network while I'm on a
call.  There's never been a problem.

Is there anyone who actually has had this problem on Verizon?
