Hi Tess,

For bandwidth intensive activities comcast will be noticeably faster, especially for tasks involving uploading. That said, we are currently working off of a connection rated at 6mbps down and 2mbps up at one of our locations and it is generally quite usable for 2-3 techs and sometimes as many as 25 machines sharing the connection.

Hope that helps,
-Elijah.

A quick test reveals that my current cable modem connection is 12mbps... Verizon's max speed is 5mbps. Do people feel that this kind of differential is noticeable for ordinary web browsing -- would it have an effect on the load time of graphics-heavy web pages, audio and video playback, etc?
