Tony, Unfortunately, if you enlarge or "upscale" the poorest looking 4:3 footage to fit the best 16:9 footage editing timeline/sequence...the quality of the 4:3 footage will look even worse...so, in many cases you're forced to "downscale" the best looking 16:9 to fit the 4:3 timeline. Hope that makes sense. There are many creative solutions/workarounds but it's definitely very time consuming and quite the hassle mixing all different kinds of formats. I just spent about 60hrs matching 5 different camera angles & formats for an interview I did with the band Wilco ...and it was a major pain in the butt (and I'm still waiting for final approval from their mgmnt ...but that's a whole 'nuther story)... Be glad to talk more offline if you'd like. * Regards, Tom Adams, Director/Owner Reelife Productions <http://www.ReelifeProductions.com> - using technology to educate, entertain & enlighten since 1996 Folktography by Tom <http://www.folktographybytom.com>- high quality photography and photo products Reelife Facebook Page <http://www.facebook.com/reelife> Reelife's Youtube Channel <http://www.youtube.com/reelife> Folktography's Facebook Page <http://www.facebook.com/folkography> <http://www.facebook.com/folkography> Tom's LinkedIn Page <http://www.linkedin.com/in/tomadams2> Tom's "Links Directory <http://web.me.com/ReelifeProductions>" 413.575.9707 • Williamsburg, MA * On Thu, Nov 3, 2011 at 4:10 PM, Tony Jillson <stmix at birdwaves.com> wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > > HI, > We are starting a new video project.
