[Hidden-tech] Replacement for Quickbooks Pro

I have no experience with Quickbooks Pro or any of the online options
described herein, but it occurs to me to ask the following question: is it
possible to get around the Quickbooks PDF lockout by installing an
opensource virtual PDF printer?  It installs like a typical printer, but the
output is a PDF document (or jpeg, tiff, etc.).
