[Hidden-tech] Know a Non-Profits in need of a Website?

*Just for Non-Profits*

This year, Joomla User Group New England is partnering with *ten lucky
non-profits* from around New England, to aid these groups in building a
website for their organization.

On April 2, these ten non-profits (chosen from submitted applications) will
join us at Joomla Day New England, held at the Marlboro College Graduate
School, in Brattleboro, VT. There, we will work with each non-profit to get
a starter website built from the ground up.

The non-profit will arrive with the following items in hand:

   - A laptop capable of receiving wireless internet.
   - *Five pages of content for your website*, written and compiled in
   Microsoft Word, brought in electronic format (preferably on the hard drive
   of the laptop that you bring with you).
   - A site map, describing your vision for the website. What are the pages
   you want on the site? How are they linked together?
   - Basic technical skills: comfort working in Word and email a must!
   Willingness to learn lots of new techy geeky things also required!

Joomla User Group New England will provide:

   - Web hosting for your site for 2 months, for free
   - A complete Joomla installation, with choice of templates and extensions
   - Hands-on instruction throughout the day
   - Breakfast and lunch, plus you may join us for the opening keynote and
   the closing panel discussion and giveaways
   - Opportunity to network with Joomla developers who need clients!

*Price for the day is $150*, and it includes up to 2 attendees for each
non-profit.

   - Complete our application

   *March 18*. No fee is required.
   - We will notify you of acceptance by *March 22*. At that time, you will
   need to pay the $150 fee no later than *March 25*. We accept payments
   through PayPal.
   - Pull together your content, site map, and laptop, and join us on April
   2!
