[Hidden-tech] Trend Micro Safe Sync

To answer this question (if it hasn't already been answered), this was a
loss leader for Trend Micro.  They're now charging $60/year for unlimited
backups, which is not bad (Carbonite is $55/month) and they offer a
multi-machine synchronization option as well.  My guess is, like every other
cloud backup system, if you want to back up all of your machines, you'll
have to buy a subscription for each one.

 

My suggestion would be to take the 30 free trial and see if it works for
you.

I was looking for an online backup solution and came across this:

Sync)

 

It offers unlimited storage for $30/year and there's a free trial.

 

There is an application that runs in the background on OS X.  I'm current
doing my first sync of approximately 150Gb and so far it's pretty smooth.

 

What's the catch?  Has anybody used this before?  How can they charge so
little?

 

It doesn't seem to be as well-known as other services but if anybody here
has had any experience with Safe Sync please let me know as I'm considering
purchasing a plan for the year.
