Wendy, No risk with AVG. Just that the most recent editions have gotten more and more bloated. Installing toolbars and with large "buy the paid one" pop ups etc. Mostly its that the system footprint (how much ram/processor cycles it uses) has increased a lot compared to products like Avast and Microsoft Security Essentials. Not worth it.
