I too have an iMac and a VXW iPhone. I have been using Google Calendar
for over three years and have been syncing my iPhone calendar with
Google Calendar. It works great!!!

Some people also use Google Contacts. However, I have found that I
prefer to use my Apple Address Book and sync it with my iPhone using
iTunes.

Hope this is helpful. Have a great day.

Hi All. I'm seeking some MobileMe / iTunes syncing advice, please. My
client has a Verizon iPhone. He just got an iMac. Up until now, I've
had him set-up to sync his Calendar and Contacts to his MobileMe acct.
Now that he has a computer, he could sync his Calendar (iCal) and
Contacts though iTunes, but I'm a little confused how to proceed and
worry that using both MobileMe and iTunes to sync may cause loss and /
or duplicate data.

I'd like to keep him backing-up "offsite" via MobileMe ... but be able
to edit Contacts and iCal on his Mac and enjoy using iTunes. Whatever
the final set-up, it needs to be simple for him. I can't find
definitive answers via Apple discussions, help or via Google. I'm sure
it must be picking and choosing settings and preferences across
iPhone / iMac / MobileMe. Right?

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure it will
all change again when iCloud happens! Yipes.
