Rich,

Just so ya know, ColdFusion compiles to Java byte code... it can and does
run VERY large sites including MySpace at it's height.

Gabe,

I am an ex-CF programmer.  Mostly ex because I needed  to build for both
desktop and web and don't like maintaining separate code bases.  There was
once some talk about a CF user group in the valley, I think the closest one
now is in Hartford.  My brother still uses CF (although he working with
Railo instead of Adobe at this point).  He's on the list but I'll poke him
to send you an email if he misses this.
