[Hidden-tech] Repair old micro cassette tape?

Depending on if the tape is mangled - I've always been able to fix them 
by triming the rough tear line,
and using a sliver of scotch tape -- esp if only trying to play once.
I have a variety of players you can use to play to digital unit.
