I like that solr thing.  We just did a site for UConn Center for Behavioral
Research that was very similar to exactly what you are looking at in
Wordpress.  We used a system to refine the search results versus a larger
search, because if the nature of the content.   They haven't launched it
yet, so I can't share the development IP with you, but they should launch in
the next few days.  If they do, I'll post the site to the thread.
